Dunkin’ Donuts Has a Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich, We Had to Try It [Video]
It’s really only a matter of time before any fast food chain starts combining things they already sell into a new thing, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see the Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich from Dunkin’ Donuts. Before you get either too excited or disgusted, the sandwich is currently only available in the Bahamas. That means that to try it, I had to build my own. Don’t worry. There’s video.
Although it was announced on April 1st, this doesn’t appear to be an April Fools’ joke. If it is a joke then it’s one they’ve really committed to, because when I contacted Dunkin’ Donuts Bahamas through Facebook they assured me it’s an actual menu item.
The Bahamas locations are the first market to launch the product, which could mean they’re simply testing the sandwich to see how it sells before expanding. Although it’s only available in the Bahamas locations, it seemed simple enough to recreate here in the States, so I went down to my local Dunkin’ Donuts this afternoon and bought a breakfast sandwich and a glazed donut then got to work.
These are my results:
Despite my reservations, I did eat the rest of the sandwich after recording this. I don’t like to see food go to waste, and I couldn’t talk my wife into finishing it for me. We also decided the donut wouldn’t be good for our dog Elvis, but he did get the rest of the bacon.
Thanks to former Geekosystem Managing Editor Robert Quigley for tipping us off that this is a thing, even though it resulted in me having to eat it.

- I also ate fish fingers and custard, but that was actually pretty good
- Glazed donut vodka exists
- I’m not willing to try the bread cheese double bacon cheeseburger
