Hi-C Ecto Cooler Reappears to Complete Our Ghostbusters Experience

Hi-five.

Ghostbusters fans have fond memories of the movie, the cartoon, and the toys, but a special place is reserved in our hearts (and probably somewhere in our medical records) for Ecto Cooler. Long a mainstay of juice box sections in grocery stores, the at-least-somewhat-fruit-concoction seems to be making a comeback with the new movie.

The beverage’s trademark was renewed back in September, so fans were already expecting to see it make a return, but now a prototype can of the stuff has shown up on eBay in all its 10% juice, 90% God-knows-what (water and sugar syrup) glory:

The can is conspicuously absent of Slimer, though that probably makes sense with the new movie’s absence of him, too. So what do you think? With the trademark renewal and the movie on the way, it’s easy to see the beverage making a comeback, but that doesn’t mean this particular appearance is necessarily more than wishful thinking. However, a shot including the ingredients list on the eBay listing is pretty similar to the original‘s:

If and when it does hit store shelves, just … drink responsibly. You know how you get when you drink too much juice.
