Eddie Redmayne Going to Be Great and Terrible in New Biopic
Lions and tigers and cinnamon rolls oh my.
According to a Tracking Board exclusive, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘s Eddie Redmayne has joined the cast of New Line Cinema’s Road to Oz.
Redmayne will be starring in the biopic as Wonderful Wizard of Oz writer L. Frank Baum; according to Tracking Board, the film will focus on the author’s early life. Judging from this paragraph on Wikipedia, the movie should have some fascinating subject matter to mine:
At 20, Baum took on the then national craze—the breeding of fancy poultry. He specialized in raising of the Hamburg. In March 1880, he established a monthly trade journal, The Poultry Record, and in 1886, when Baum was 30 years old, his first book was published: The Book of the Hamburgs: A Brief Treatise upon the Mating, Rearing, and Management of the Different Varieties of Hamburgs.
The more you know.
What do you think, friends? Excited to see Redmayne make his journey to Oz?
