Roberto Orci Leaving Star Trek 3, May Be Replaced By Edgar Wright

Star Trek 3: Into rumors.

Quuuuuuooooooooooooiiiiiiii?

According to Deadline, Star Trek 3 director Roberto Orci will be leaving the production. Considering Orci had never directed a movie before, this might come as a relief to some nervous fans, especially since Scott Pilgrim director Edgar Wright is reportedly on a short list to take the job.

Personally, I think this might be good news for all parties involved–Wright (and his many fans) might get some vindication after the director’s controversial exit from Ant-Man earlier this year, and, hey! Maybe Orci can return to the Power Rangers reboot?

What do you think, gang?
