So Say We All: Edward James Olmos To Join Agents Of SHIELD Cast
Wait, but they've already got Coulson to lead the rag tag bunch of survivors, so who's he going to play?
Wonder how Agents of SHIELD is going to top Marvel’s Agent Carter when the back half of its second season returns to the same time slot in March? Well, as we can all surmise from the period drama’s stellar first two episode, it won’t ever be able to top Agent Carter, because that’s impossible. But casting Admiral William Adama might help just a bit to soothe the eventual Peggy-shaped hole in our hearts.
Olmos will join the show as a character named Robert Gonzales, who “will have massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team,” according to Marvel.
“Edward James Olmos brings an amazing gravitas to any role he inhabits, something we knew we needed for Robert Gonzales,” Executive Producer Jeph Loeb said in a statement. “When Olmos first appears on our series, everyone will have to take notice—including our favorite Agents.” I mean, yeah, you don’t hire Edward James to stand in a corner and not bother anybody too much.
The actor’s previous work includes roles in Blade Runner, Miami Vice, Stand and Deliver, and Battlestar Galactica, where he ruined former Rebecca Pahle psychologically for the better part of her tenure at The Mary Sue. Just kidding. But not really.
Excited, fellow cylons nerds?
