Learn How to Chop Wood as Efficiently as Possible [Video]

Recommended Videos

Whether or not you’ve ever had to chop wood, you should use the above method as a prime example of woodchopping efficiency and dispense with other methods to which you may be accustomed that may or may not involve punching trees. The chopper does seem to be fairly well-versed in chopping, but astute commenters on reddit pinpointed the ax and it may be helping along the efficiency.

The ax is made by Fiskars — who apparently makes things other than scissors, but still stayed within the venue of cutting things — and is designed to make chopping a lot easier:

…the X25 combines perfected weight distribution, advanced blade geometry, an ultra-sharp edge and virtually unbreakable design to maximize your performance. This combination of features allows the blade to disperse wood more effectively, offering more one-strike splits with each swing.

Though the technique in the video is probably known to woodcutters worldwide, the rest of us who live with our noisy steam heaters just learned something interesting.
