Ellen Page Confronts Republican Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz About LGBTQ+ Rights in Iowa

Spoiler alert: He didn't actually address any of her concerns.

I think the above video speaks for itself, but the short version is this: Ellen Page attended the Iowa State Fair where Ted Cruz was attempting to drum up support for his Presidential run.

In a frustrating-to-watch exchange, she attempts to have a conversation with him about LGBTQ+ discrimination in the workplace, but he seems determined to only talk about the issue of religious freedom (never mind that this also includes freedom from religion) and free speech.

Oh, and of course he had no idea that it was a Hollywood actress speaking to him. I wonder if the conversation would’ve gone differently if he had.
