Elstree 1976 Tells the Story of the Star Wars Actors Behind the Masks
The actors who took on mask-wearing roles in the first Star Wars — Greedo, Boba Fett, countless Storm Troopers, and so on — didn’t see their roles as much more than a strange bit of extra work at the time. They had no idea they’d become action figures. Of course, these same actors don’t get recognized by face, except perhaps by the most die-hard of Star Wars fans, but they were as much a part of the early days of Star Wars as anyone else. A documentary called Elstree 1976 lets these actors unmask themselves and share their stories; the trailer above reveals a peek at what’s to come, including a story in which Jeremy Bulloch admits that during one of his iconic Boba Fett head-turns, he was thinking about lunch.
Mmm. Craft services.
