Torchwood‘s Eve Myles Joins Doctor Who Alumn-Packed Broadchurch
Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff
Eve Myles, who you may know as Gwen from Torchwood, or her guest stints on Doctor Who and Merlin, will join the cast of ITV’s Broadchurch, starting in series two of the popular mystery program.
Broadchurch is already pretty relevant to geeks who like British television programs, with David Tennant in a lead role (even in the American version!) and several other Doctor Who and Harry Potter stars in the mix, as Den of Geek sums up:
The first series boasted a Doctor Who writer (Chris Chibnall), director (Euros Lyn), Companion (Arthur Darvill), and Doctor (need we even?), not forgetting the latest actor to play William Hartnell (David Bradley), the mum out of The Eleventh Hour (Olivia Colman), and more
Myles recently spoke about the potential to see her in more Torchwood: she’d love to revisit the setting, but knows it’d be a very complicated thing to pull off. As for Broadchurch, it’s unknown what Myles’ role will be, other than “central,” but she comes to the cast of season two along with Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and James D’Arcy, as the show tackles a new mystery now that the murder of Danny Latimer has been solved.
