The only thing more fun than watching a Marvel movie is looking forward to all the upcoming Marvel movies. Since Disney acquired Marvel, it seems like we have an endless list of new movies and shows to look forward to. This year, there have been three theatrical releases (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and three television shows (Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk), with several more titles on the horizon for 2023.

Phase 4 has just come to a close, so let’s look into the future and see what Phase 5 may bring us. Here are all the confirmed and rumored projects for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Movies

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023) – Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) visit the Quantum realm where they encounter Kang the Conqueror and M.O.D.O.K.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023) – The Guardians are on another fun space adventure. This time they will meet Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).

The Marvels (July 28, 2023) – This sequel to Captain Marvel will be three powerful Marvel women together for the first time. Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) will star in the movie and probably fight some powerful being (X-Men‘s Rogue perhaps?).

Captain America: New World Order (May 3, 2024) – The movie will continue the story started in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. Previously known as Falcon, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) took over the iconic shield and title.

Thunderbolts (July 26, 2024) – The Thunderbolts are an anti-hero team made up of villains. Some villains from previous Marvel projects (such as John Walker/US Agent and Yelena Belova/Black Widow) are rumored to be returning for this team.

Blade (September 6, 2024) – Blade will star Mahershala Ali as the titular character and feature the Ebony Blade teased in Eternals. Filming was supposed to begin in late 2022, but issues with the script and director caused the film to be delayed.

TV Series

What If…? Season 2 (Early 2023) – A second season of the animated alternate universe show is coming. The Watcher shows us new and old heroes in different realities from the main timeline. The first season created so many new storylines, I’m sure the second season won’t disappoint.

Secret Invasion (Spring 2023) – Some rebels of the alien Skrull race infiltrate all life on Earth—including superheroes. The comic story ends with an epic battle between heroes and Skrull in the hidden prehistoric area called the Savage Land, so it is about to get really crazy.

Loki Season 2 (Summer 2023) – Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and several of his crazy variants will return. Maybe they can fix some of the timelines instead of breaking them.

Echo (Summer 2023) – First seen in the Hawkeye series, Echo will focus on Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) reconnecting with her Native American roots.

Ironheart (Fall 2023) – In the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer, Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) made a brief appearance. And her own six-episode series is also on the way.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Winter 2023/2024) – In WandaVision we got our first taste of villainous witch Agatha Harkness. The amazing Kathryn Hahn will return to play Agatha in the series.

Daredevil: Born Again (Spring 2024) – After Disney purchased the Netflix/Marvel shows, it became clear they wanted more from Daredevil. Charlie Cox (who played Matt Murdoch/Daredevil in the series) reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. At SDCC 2022, Marvel confined Cox’s return as well as Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin for the eighteen-episode series.
