A recently discovered Caribbean parasitic crustacean has been named for Bob Marley. Gnathia marleyi and the beloved Reggae artist have little in common other than the fact that they both hail from Jamaica. Marley isn’t the first cultural icon for which a bug, spider, crab, or other gross thing has been named. We’ve assembled a sampling of the species named for celebrities. Read on, folks!
