What could be better than paying homage to fond comic book-related memories by taking your favorite 1966 Jack Kirby Fantastic Four cover and recapturing it in the time-honored medium of felt knitting. Don’t ask D. Campbell MacKinlay, because he doesn’t have an answer. The level of detail MacKinlay captures is pretty impressive, mimicking the orginal cover right down to the price and date. Even better, he’s enhanced the work by making The Thing’s fists literally pop out at you. Take that, 3D TV.
