Pixar’s Finding Dory Voice Cast Revealed At D23 Expo
It's A World of Laughter A World of Tears
The Finding Nemo sequel has found some new sea creatures to help search for wide-eyed and lovable Dory!
It may seem weird to be shooting for a sequel to Finding Nemo, a 2003 release, especially considering most of us are constantly cursing Pixar for it’s lack of an Incredibles sequel, but Finding Dory might just keep us preoccupied.
Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks will be reprising their roles as Dory and Marlin respectively, but a few new fish names have been released thanks to the packed D23 Expo happening in California right now.
Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy are set to play Dory’s parents (we can only imagine what that home life was like), Jenny and Charlie. Also announced was actor Ty Burrell to play a beluga whale named Bailey, who acts as a comedic sidekick.
Unless Bailey is in an aquarium, the existence of a beluga in the sequel might point to Dory getting very, very lost (belugas are native to the Arctic). /Film gives this plot summary from the event:
The story picks up one year after Finding Nemo. Dory’s family is living on a reef, and her memory loss is still a problem. A traumatic event sets off Dory’s “homing instinct,’ according to Stanton. So as she goes off on some kind of search for her family, Nemo and Marlin are looking for her. So two searches take place at once.
Finding Dory has a release date of November 25th, 2015.
