J.J. Abrams Gives Terminally Ill Star Wars Fan Daniel Fleetwood a Private Screening of Force Awakens

Daniel Fleetwood, a 32-year-old Star Wars fan who was given two months to live last July following a diagnosis of spindle cell carcinoma, has been finally granted his wish to watch The Force Awakens.

Following a push from Force Awakens cast members and the #ForceForDaniel hashtag on social media, J.J. Abrams was able to show an unfinished version of the movie to Daniel in his home. Daniel’s wife Ashley explained over Facebook:
