Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Is Making Its Way Back to Television
Yo holmes, to Bel Air!
If you’ve got fond memories of settling down to watch Fresh Prince of Bel-Air at night and getting excited at the opening beats of that oft-repeated theme song, then we’d like you to take a minute, just sit right there, and we’ll tell you all about how there’s a reboot coming for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Way back in the 90’s, born and raised, on NBC is where this sitcom spent most of its days. It lasted six seasons, chillin’, maxin’, sharing some lessons about being a fish out of water. According to TVLine, we can expect some more poetic waxing from another Fresh Prince, as Will Smith’s production group, Overbrook Entertainment, is currently formulating a pitch to be shopped around different networks.
Smith himself will be involved in the creative process as an executive producer on the show, so hopefully a lot of the charm and humor that made the original so great will carry over to this iteration. It’s unclear whether this is going to be a full-on reboot or if it’s a continuation. Knowing how much a pitch can change, only time will tell for sure.
We can’t wait for this show to sit on its throne as the prince of Bel-Air.
