Twitter users are weighing in on the mash-up to end all mash-ups.

Game of Thrones & Avengers mashup dream teams

As someone who is not a sports fan, I never understood the appeal of fantasy leagues. But thanks to a new Twitter challenge from Vanity Fair‘s Joanna Robinson, I think I finally get the appeal. Robinson asked Twitter followers who their perfect Avengers/Game of Thrones mash-up would be, and nerd brains all across social media started speculating about dream teams.

Frankly, I’m surprised it took this long for someone to come up with this. After all, GOT and the MCU are easily the two hottest genre franchises right now, both with devoted social media fandoms and a massive roster of characters. Playing matchmaker between the casts is the crossover to end all crossovers. People have been weighing in on their top picks, here are some of our favorites:

Women on Fire:

Frozen Soldiers:

Too Young for This Shit:

STOP: Hammer Time!

Honestly I see Tony as more of a Jaime Lannister type but I’m into this:

The Hound + Drax Would be a Power Team of Man Anger:

Slytherin Energy:

Now Kiss:

THANNIS:

Mono-Verbal Muscle:

Hawkness Everqueen:

Mad Monsters:

Sirs Not Appearing in This Film:

I’ve given this a lot of thought, and here’s who I want to see team up:

Melisandre and Wanda Maximoff, Two Scarlet Witches:

Podrick Payne and Phil Coulson, Still Happy to Be Here:

Matt Damon and Lady Crane, ACTING!:

Sansa Stark and Black Widow, Sick of This Boys Club:

Who do you think would make the ultimate GOT/MCU mash-up? Let us know in the comments!
