Game of Thrones Book Spoiler Open Thread: The Laws of Gods and Men

Watched last night’s new episode of Game of Thrones but haven’t read the novels? Turn back, this is not the post for you. Read ahead for book spoilers or turn back to the episode recap for spoiler-free comments. 

Thoughts from the episode, in no particular order:

• Oh, Shae…oh, Shae…
• YES!!!! Asha/Yara returns!! I hope we see her again this season but I’m not incredibly hopeful.
• Peter Dinklage’s speech was BOSS, obviously, but the real chills came when he said the words “trial by combat.”
• Can’t recall if that Varys/Oberyn chat happened in the books but I liked it. I liked it a lot.
• Well hello there, Hizdahr zo Loraq. I look forward to seeing the trouble you make and the eye-rolls Daenerys gives you.
• And of course…
