Game of Thrones Spoiler Open Thread: Breaker of Chains

Here’s the place for all you book readers to chat to your heart’s content about any spoilery thought that crossed your head about last night’s episode. For example:

• Changing the altar scene from consensual sex, as it was in the books, to rape. I have a lot of thoughts on this—in fact, you can expect a post on the subject of Game of Thrones‘ use of sexual violence against women soon—but for now I’m just going to express myself with increasingly angry gifs.
• Olenna’s “How dare Joffrey get himself killed?” is even more delicious when you know she’s the one who killed him.
• Daario’s ladyknives!
• I’m concerned about Tommen. Now that they’ve aged him up he seems a bit too old for Margaery’s kitten trick to work. Don’t you dare cut Ser Pounce, D&D. Don’t you dare.
