The BBC Sends Out a “No Nudity In Game of Thrones!!!” Breaking News Alert, And More In Today’s GoT Roundup

The night is dark and full of breasts.

In the BBC’s defense, there not being nudity in an episode of Game of Thrones is pretty newsworthy. Also in today’s roundup: Which fan favorite actor who’s been MIA for a while might come back for season five (obviously, potential spoilers there)? And which actor of a now-dead character is moving on to play Charles Manson?

If you use the BBC News app, you might recently have received the following in between updates on the Egypt situation and World Cup shenanigans:

“NYPD Twitter campaign ‘backfires’ after hashtag hijacked. Push sucks! Pull blows! BREAKING NEWS No nudity in latest episode of Game of Thrones!!! MORE BREAKING NEWS IIIIIII like testing.”

As you might gather from the “IIIIIII like testing,” this was a simple case of testing the app gone awry, but all the same the BBC had to take to Twitter to assure their followers that, no, they were not hacked by a malicious band of Game of Thrones nudity enthusiasts (it wasn’t me!):

And now we’re entering spoiler territory.

When Game of Thrones comes back for season five, in addition to copious nudity, WinterIsComing.Net reports that we might see Tom Wlaschiha, who was a revelation as Arya’s murder buddy Jaqen H’ghar in season two. The rumor stems from the fact that Wlaschiha’s agent listed Game of Thrones as a 2014 project on his official online CV, though that could obviously just be a mistake. Error or legit, the entry has since been taken down. Book readers will know that [A Dance with Dragons spoilers] And, of course, we saw Jaqen change his face in season two: …so him still looking like Wlaschiha doesn’t make much sense, as arbiter of calm, reasoned Game of Thrones discussion @AngryGoTFan so aptly points out:

WinterIsComing.Net points out that . That’s supported by the fact that we’ve heard , has been cast, but there’s been nary a peep . I’ll just be happy if we get him back. He was awesome.

And finally, Gethin Anthony, the once and future Renly “Is he a ham?” Bartatheon has joined the cast of NBC’s 13-episosde event series Aquarius as Charles Manson; David Duchovny will star as an undercover cop trying to track him down. Grey Damon of Friday Night Lights will play Duchovny’s partner. Good to see Anthony’s moved on from that whole “being killed by a shadow baby” thing.
