Enter the Geekosystem Podcast: An Introduction
Our current format is simple enough: One news item and one cultural item up for discussion an episode, with an intermission full of Editors’ Picks, and a length of around 40 to 50 minutes. This is subject to change, since we’re still feeling out what works and what doesn’t, but we’re pretty happy with it so far.
Our inaugural episode deals with giving the Moon a moon as well as the nature of spoilers:
You can read more about giving the Moon a moon right here.
It’s worth noting that we’re aware it sounds a little bit like we’re down a well, and we’re looking into ways to fix this going forward. Also, we’re not actually in a well. It just so happens that the room we decided to record in at the Geekosystem office has a nice brick wall on one side.
In the second episode, we discuss the Mars One mission and argue about NBC’s Community:
We upped the levels for this episode, so it’s a bit louder. We’re still down a well, but now anyone standing at the top of said well can hear us better. Anyone that wants to learn more about Mars One can do so here.
This is still a work in progress, but it’s one we really think you’ll like if you’re already a fan of the site. We also think you’ll like it if you’re not already a fan of the site, but that’s neither here nor there. What do you think? Should we go in a different direction? Do you like what we’re doing here? As always, any feedback is much appreciated.
