You Win, Internet: Goat Simulator Is a Real Game and the Trailer Is Bonkers

You need this in your life.

Somehow, Coffee Stain Studios and game designer Armin Ibrisagic didn’t expect a game featuring an animal and a bunch of crazy nonsense to be something people wanted (seriously, that describes 95% of the Internet). Then, Goat Simulator got a rabid Internet response and 2 million views on YouTube after its debut during January’s Global Game Jam. Soon it will be a reality of your daily life, if there is joy in your heart.

Before fans bugged them into making it a real thing, goat simulator was just a fun side project for the guys at Coffee Stain to fuel creativity, as explained on the studio’s blog:

This is Goat Simulator, a game where you will try to do as much damage as you possibly can as a goat. The elevator-pitch for Goat Simulator is “Imagine a skating game, except instead of being a skater, you’re a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff.”

So it’s kind of like that cat simulator game, only with a goat and a bit more craziness, and you can get it a few days early (though the release date is still unknown) if you preorder it. Yup, I’m going to need that.
