Google Glass Available Today For One Day Only
I knew that Blood Moon mean bad news.
I can think of cooler ways to lose friends and alienate people, but if you really, really want to get your hands on a pair of Google Glass before everyone else, a 24 hour window to apply for a spot as a Glass Explorer began at 9 am ET today. If you’re not reading this through a computer on your face, then you have some work to do.
The real roll-out of the controversial wearable tech has yet to be announced, but if you fit the requirements to become a Glass Explorer and you’re interested in differentiating yourselves from others in very expensive ways, then carpe diem: a limited number of Glass Explorer positions are available today. The Glass website has this to say about their exclusive 24 hour offer:
The time has finally arrived. If you’re a US resident with a US shipping address, who is 18+, you can purchase Glass and join the Explorer Program for a limited time.
In preparation for the one day glass frenzy, software updates have been made to improve Glass’ battery life and stability, remove video calling until, as Google says, the “experience is better” and up to standard, and add photo bundles that group pictures together and make them easier to find.
If you want to own an advance version of Glass and don’t mind sacrificing video calling (how will you trick strangers in coffee shops into thinking you’re crazy now?), seize the day! And your wallet–it’ll cost you $1,500 to become a Glass Explorer, lenses not included if you need a prescription.
