The Harold Ramis directed film never gets old for me so I’m willing to give this some consideration. Here’s what Variety has to say about the project:
The “Matilda” team of composer-lyricist Tim Minchin, director Matthew Warchus, choreographer Peter Darling and set and costume designer Rob Howell will collaborate on the show with book writer Danny Rubin, who co-wrote the “Groundhog Day” screenplay with Harold Ramis and is credited with the original story. Whistle Pig Prods. (Andre Ptaszynski), Scott Rudin and Columbia Stage Live will produce.
They also say it “will begin previews Jan. 23, 2017, ahead of a March 9, 2017, opening at a Broadway venue to be announced. Casting remains to be set.”
