It’s Harley-Davidson’s Women Riders Month!
Today in Boobs
May brings along the fourth annual Harley-Davidson’s Women Riders Month to celebrate the growing number of female motorcycle riders and to empower women. Read on for the events happening this month!
Harley-Davidson will be hosting a series of programs throughout the month. Today, May 4th, is International Female Ride Day. It was founded by Vicki Gray of Motoress and is exactly what it sounds like – a day to “just ride.”
“Learning to ride a motorcycle is one of the most exhilarating and empowering experiences in life,” said Claudia Garber, Director of Women’s Marketing Outreach at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “Women Riders Month celebrates women who’ve already found empowerment on the open road – but it also allows us to support the thousands of other women whose motorcycle dreams are still parked in the garage.”
Women Riders Month will also encourage women to leave personal stories on their Buzz Wall. “The Buzz Wall is an online billboard that showcases the inspirational stories of women who ride as well as videos, information and links to help women get started,” according to the press release. “Women can share their stories and photos by tweeting with the Twitter hashtag #harleywomen, or they can upload them to the Women Riding Stories section on Harley-Davidson’s website.”
Garage Party Events will be held at dealerships across the country and feature seminars on motorcycle basics while the Women Riders website will have “information on how to get into the sport including the Roadmap to Riding tool, information on Rider’s Edge Academy of Motorcycling training course, a calendar of Garage Parties in cities around the country and much, much more.”
The site is pretty detailed and even has information on how to mentor another rider as well as how to purchase “Pink Label” products for breast cancer awareness.
