Today, in bringing back everything from your childhood:

“I’ve been working with [‘Iron Man’ writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway] on the script,” Lin told MTV News in an exclusive interview, confirming that “Highlander” is still very much a priority for [director Justin Lin].

Yes, a Highlander reboot, from the guy who brought you Fast Five, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Fast & Furious (which, btw, is the fourth film in the F&F franchise. I know). And the guy who will be bringing us the fifth Terminator movie, supposedly with Schwarzenegger in tow.

Once there’s a second Highlander continuity, do the two have to fight to the death?

Lin told MTV Movies:

[Highlander is] one where Summit has been really good [about letting it develop], and for me, it’s about making sure that we can take it to the place where I feel comfortable and great about making it. I feel like I have a very good studio and team and we’re working on it.

Well, alright, we’ll give Lin the benefit of the doubt for now, after all, first he’s got to do Terminator 5 and an inevitable sixth Fast & Furious film. We just hope that if the former Governator is signed on for Terminator again, that they can get Sean Connery on a Highlander reboot. I mean, come on, he hasn’t aged a day. (He’s just outlived some of his hair).
