Personally, what I appreciate about this video is that the host, Bill Hammack, goes further than simply saying “waves interacting with water make your food hot.” It not only explains that principle, but demonstrates it with the poorly melted cheese, and then goes on to show you how those waves are produced. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been reading The Way Things Work since childhood, but these kind of in-depth explanations of everyday items just make me swoon.
