Former Governor Mike Huckabee Completely Misunderstands Racism in Just Three Tweets

Recommended Videos

Three tweets. That’s all it took for Mike Huckabee to (once again) make a complete fool of himself, showing off just how racist he really is. During last night’s Democratic debate, he, along with what felt like the rest of the country, livetweeted reactions to what was happening. In a not-so-stunning moment of utter bigotry, he attempted to take down Bernie Sanders but instead just shat the bed with a really old, ignorant, racist Asian trope.

You want to know the best part? This tweet was only four minutes after he tweeted about America’s racism problem, saying:

Uh-huh. Okay, dude. I guess you’re part of that “sin” problem. How oblivious can you be? At least he didn’t double down on his awful racist jok—

… sigh.

This triad of tweets is the online equivalent of doing a “pull my finger” joke in the middle of an elevator, realizing you’re trapped in there while the gross byproduct of your awful butt hangs in the air like so much regret, and then trying to blame it on the woman standing next to you.

How detached from the world do you have to be to think that you’re “deploring a brutal dictatorship” by perpetuating unbelievably ignorant stereotypes? Whatever. It’s not like he’s running for president or someth— … Oh. That’s right. Dammit.
