Hulu Acquires Rights to Stream Disney Classics But Where Are the DCOMs?
Neaaaar....Faaaar...Wherever you arrrre...
Do you have a Hulu subscription? If you love Disney films, now might be a good time to get one. The streaming service just announced a licensing agreement with Walt Disney Studios meaning a ton of great movies are headed your way. This new lineup includes exclusive rights to modern classics like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mulan, Pocahontas, Hercules, Sister Act and Air Bud.
In addition, more than 50 titles are being added for the first time including Con Air, Step Up, Gone in 60 Seconds, Pearl Harbor, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, The Mighty Ducks. Plus, family blockbusters like Lilo & Stitch, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Muppet Treasure Island and The Princess and the Frog will also pop up on the service soon if they haven’t already.
This list look great and all, but where are the Disney Channel Original Movies? I mean, the excitement over the Memorial Weekend marathons proved we’re still invested in these films and would love to see them all in one place. Wouldn’t you subscribe if you could stream the likes of Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, Alley Cats Stike, Smart House, Brink! and more any time you wanted?
Someone, please make this happen.
