In Losing Silent Hills, We Lost New Work From This Horror Manga Creator

If you weren’t already devastated about Silent Hills not happening, wait until you hear the latest from Guillermo del Toro. Apparently in addition to Hideo Kojima, GDT was also working with Junji Ito, Japanese horror manga creator, on the now-defunct project.

As you can see above, GDT tweeted about Ito’s involvement for the first today, adding that both he and Kojima are fans of his work, which includes series Uzumaki (short summary: a town has a supernatural curse!) and Gyo (a couple fights fish that have a “death stench”!). And GDT was sure that Ito was going to help him and Kojima bring the scares, as evidenced by this follow-up tweet:

Are you still mourning the loss of Silent Hills? Are you a fan of Ito’s work? If so, what do you think he would have brought to the game? If not, will you check out his stuff now? Because in case you don’t know, his stuff can be mega disturbing, but people working on some of your fave shows do love him.
