Prepare Yourselves: Here’s John Boyega and Daisy Ridley Rapping About Star Wars
As if we needed another reason to fall deeper in love with this twin pack of perfect cinnamon rolls, Disney released this adorable as all hell video of John Boyega beatboxing for a rapping Daisy Ridley. Ridley’s rapping about what it was like filming The Force Awakens, spitting fire bars like, “We all up in the desert and we filming Star Wars / because of our diet we can eat no Mars bars.” Even more adorable is that their rap is accompanied by behind-the-scenes footage of the cast and all of the extras taking dance breaks during filming.
Prominently featured are shots of Admiral Ackbar cutting a rug, Oscar Isaac shaking his butt along with the Resistance forces all dancing outside the X-Wing hangar, so many stormtroopers dancing, and even Boyega dancing in front of Ridley during a break from shooting that heavy scene where Finn leaves Rey behind in the cantina. Oh, and you know what else? The video also has Ridley dancing with her obvious space-aunt Carrie Fisher outside the Millennium Falcon. They’re both having the best time, and honestly, it’s hard to not crack a smile while watching this immensely cute video. I just… I cannot even, friends.
I literally can. Not. Even. Oh, and because I know you were going to ask for it, here’s a GIF.
In the desert, what, in the desert what what. Go to lightspeed!
