IT’S INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY! EVERYONE START YELLING ONLINE!
TRY TO READ THIS WITHOUT HEARING SOMEONE YELLING!
GET READY FOR A LOT OF INTERNET YELLING! It’s International Caps Lock Day, a holiday celebrated on October 22nd since time immemorial — unless you remember the year 2000, because that’s when it started. Obviously, everyone you know will hate you if you type in caps all day today, but we won’t fault you for GETTING IN THE SPIRIT A BIT.
For some truly horrid web design, and a bit of explanation you can head to CapsLockDay.com, but we’ll warn you — it’s a descent into madness. There’s a recurring Santa theme, a photo of Billy Mays, and a cast photo from Family Matters. It’s not for the faint of heart.
You’re probably better off just throwing some ALL CAPS WORDS into your typing today and leave it at that.
A few other dates actually claim the title of Caps Lock Day as well, but October 22nd has been doing it the longest as far as we can tell. HAPPY CAPS LOCK DAY, EVERYONE.

- We first learned about Caps Lock Day a few years ago
- Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fall on the same day this year
- Today makes about as much sense as Talk Like Batman Day
