This is How the Supermoon Looked From the International Space Station

This past weekend’s Supermoon put on a great show for those of us down here on good ol’ planet Earth. But for astronauts aboard the International Space Station, the setting Supermoon was a strange sight. This photo, taken by astronaut André Kuipers shows the full moon setting on the opposite side of Earth from the ISS. The Earth’s atmosphere distorts the image, giving it a weird wobble. We’ve said it before, but everything is cooler in space.
