Star Trek’s George Takei, the man who knows no pun bounds, and his husband, Brad Takei, are premiering a new series online April 7th! It’s semi-scripted and features stuff from their normal, daily routines, which are sometimes not so normal. Here’s the official blurb:
In this “heightened reality”-series, actor and activist George Takei (Star Trek’s Sulu) and husband Brad Takei navigate their daily lives, from the internet and Broadway, to jetpacks and human hamster balls. With a recipe that is one part optimism and one part pragmatism, this dynamic duo overcomes life’s obstacles, reminding us that any great “enterprise” Takeis Two.
Episode 1, Parts 1 & 2: Seriously?! Synopsis:
Brad Takei discovers a “mean meme” of himself on husband George Takei’s Facebook page and launches a mission to get it taken down. George tries to help Brad realize that the internet is a “wild west” that must be accepted for what it is, but Brad remains unswayed. His adventure takes him all the way to Google headquarters in NYC, where he encounters a surprise form of artificial intelligence. Will Brad succeed in his meme quest? Tune in to find out!
