This Evangelion-Inspired Bullet Train Will Run On Japan Rail West

Recommended Videos

Here’s a peek at the interior for Japan Rail West’s planned bullet train inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, set to run between Osaka and Fukuoka starting this November 7th.

The train design has been in the works for a while, but this is the first chance we’ve had to look at the plans for the inside of the train, via this newly released concept art. The project is collaboration between Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno and mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, to honor the 20th anniversary of the anime and the 40th anniversary of the Sanyō Shinkansen train line.
