Jeffrey Brown’s Vader and Son Drawings Are Being Made into Adorable Figures
The power of the Force compels you to look at these.
Darth Vader never really got much of a chance to be a father, since he was too busy being burned alive by lava and then having all his limbs replaced with machines. That’s why Darth Vader and Son and its follow-up, Vader’s Little Princess, are such great books, because they tug at both our heartstrings and our nerdstrings. Wait, do nerds have strings?
So what’s the next best thing to do after creating a wickedly popular Star Wars-themed series of books? Turn them into collectible figures, of course. Forget those stupid Lladró porcelain statues, man.
The 1:8 scale maquettes are being made by Gentle Giant LTD and will cost you a cool $280 to preorder both of them at once. However, they do both come with a exclusive editions of the books from Chronicle Books, which each contain extra, never-before-seen concept sketches and full-color illustrations. Plus, come on.They’re cute as hell.
Do you see this one? The tie has Rebel alliance logos on it. My heart! It has so many questions. Like, who even took Luke to the store in the first place to get that tie?
Just leave me here to die. I can’t handle this.
