Jimmy Fallon Had the Avengers: Endgame Cast Sing an MCU “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and We’re Crying
Have anxiety about the impending doom of the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame? Well, don’t worry! Jimmy Fallon has found a way to make us forget our fears while also making us laugh. Or cry. Whichever way you want to look at it. Promoting Avengers: Endgame has proven to be a difficult task. How do you talk about a movie that you can’t really explain without spoiling it?
So, this press tour has been filled with fun jokes, the cast just having fun together, and now, this song from Jimmy Fallon. If you’re like me and had history teachers who loved this Billy Joel classic, you may have had mixed feelings about it. Being thrown back into the days of my high school struggles is not exactly where I want to end up but now I can associate those tears of my high school days with tears of the Avengers. Thanks?
Some of the stuff in here is going to haunt me for the rest of my days when Endgame is over, but these are the kinds of fun press videos that we like to see. Or, at least, I do. Mocking the fact that we can’t have spoilers or making silly jokes is fun and fine, but things like this Fallon video are why we love this cast so much.
They’re so willing to be silly and fun without a care in the world. Especially not a care for our emotions. We’re all anxious and nervous but just generally excited to see all our faves on screen together, trying to fix what happened in Avengers: Infinity War. It also helps that we get fun little interviews with Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson where they just chit-chat about their friendship since they can’t really talk about anything.
