Anita Sarkeesian is having a pretty good week. First she was featured in Intel’s chief executive Brian M. Krzanich keynote speech as CES where the company took a strong stance against harassment in the industry and put forth a huge initiative towards diversity at their company. Now here she is chumming it up with our friend Joss Whedon! Where? Why? Who cares! This is awesome.
This isn’t the first time Whedon has aligned himself with Sarkeesian’s cause. Back in August of last year he tweeted in support of her Feminist Frequency video series, delved into the Gamergate hashtag, and even discussed online harassment based on gender on the red carpet.
Needless to say, we like what we’re seeing. And Joss, if you ever want to stop by The Mary Sue headquarters our doors are always open. Come to gaze at the superhero dildos, stay for the amazing bean bag chairs. We think it’s a swell place to work.
