Til Death, or Curses, Do Us Part, Let’s Check Out the English Voice Cast for the Upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Anime Film
Yuuuuutaaaaa.....
We’re just a few weeks away from the premiere of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the anime movie prequel to the hit series. With season 2 headed our way in 2023, the film will be the perfect way to keep us excited as we wait for the next chapter of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara’s adventure.
Assuming they aren’t too busy trying to rescue Megumi from a potential date.
Tickets for the film are now officially on sale here in the U.S. and will be on sale in Canada beginning on March 1st. We also know who the dub cast of the movie will be, which includes actors reprising their roles from the anime series and new actors joining Jujutsu High.
What is Jujutsu Kaisen 0 about?
When they were children, Rika Orimoto was killed in a traffic accident right before the eyes of her close friend, Yuta Okkotsu.
“It’s a promise. When we both grow up, we’ll get married.”
Rika became an apparition, and Yuta longed for his own death after suffering under her curse, but the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, welcomed him into Jujutsu High. There Yuta meets his classmates, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, and finally finds his own determination.
“I want the confidence to say it’s okay that I’m alive!”
“While I’m at Jujutsu High, I’ll break Rika-chan’s curse.”
Meanwhile, the vile curse user, Suguru Geto, who was expelled from the school for massacring ordinary people, appears before Yuta and the others. “This coming December 24th, we shall carry out the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.” While Geto advocates for creating a paradise for only jujutsu sorcerers, he unleashes a thousand curses upon Shinjuku and Kyoto to exterminate all non-sorcerers.
Will Yuta be able to stop Geto in the end? And what will happen to breaking Rika’s curse…?
Taking place before the anime series, Yuta goes through a similar situation as Yuji, set to be executed until everyone’s favorite troll of a teacher, Gojo, interferes. Yuta joins Maki, Toge, and Panda, who are first years at Jujutsu High, and he slowly begins to learn how this whole being cursed thing works.
However, much like any anime situation where you’re the protagonist, their studies are interrupted by Geto, who wants to create a paradise where only jujutsu sorcerers exist. What does that mean for the rest of humanity? Well, let’s just say that Christmas Eve will be a terrible day for those of us who aren’t sorcerers.
As a prequel to the anime series, the film is a chance to get a sense of who the main villain of the series is. It’s also a chance to find out why Yuta Okkotsu is such a big deal, as his name is held in high regard in the series.
