Who sez there are no roles for women of a certain age in Hollywood? In a recent interview with /Film, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the upcoming film will feature a beloved genre actress:

The T. rex that’s in the film is the T. rex from the original Jurassic Park. She is 22 years older. But she’s not limping around.

In case you were wondering how that might fit into continuity of the films, we learned earlier today Jurassic World is more like a straight sequel to Jurassic Park, ignoring the second and third films.

Sadly, not even sharp tooths are immune to society’s unrealistic female beauty standards:

We took the original design and obviously, technology has changed. So, it’s going to move a little bit differently, but it’ll move differently because it’s older. And we’re giving her some scars and we’re tightening her skin.

Regardless, Trevorrow says this film will really showcase her talents: “She has that feeling of, like, an older Burt Lancaster. And this movie is her Unforgiven.”

Frankly, I’m very disappointed in Mr. Trevorrow’s decision to pander to SJJWW (Social Justice Jurassic World Warriors) and mature lady dinosaurs who spend all their time whining on the Internet. Where are the Dude Rexes? Isn’t feminism all about equality? SMDH. (Shaking My Dino Head/Shaking My Dude Head).
