On March 31st, 1999, Warner Bros. released a little family-team-directed film called The Matrix, and sci-fi and action cinema could never really be the same afterward. Suddenly everybody, for better or for worse, had to pay lip service to bullet-time, knowing kung fu, and spoons (or a lack thereof).
And now The Matrix is almost as old as I was when it came out.
In order to dispel this sudden existential shock, here’s a trailer for an impressive looking Matrix fan film called Kaydara, concerning a couple of human brothers who set out to kill Neo. So, practically a more interesting plot hook than the second and third movies.
Oh, right, there were no Matrix sequels.
