Sif to Have “Pivotal” Role in Thor: Ragnarok and More From Jaimie Alexander

Recommended Videos

Because this is Marvel we’re talking about here, everyone’s been pretty tight-lipped about just how Thor: Ragnarok will go down when it beams down from Asgard in July, 2017, but Sif herself, Jaimie Alexander, opened up to LA Times about her role in the movie and how it connects with next year’s Captain America: Civil War.

Of course, we all probably would’ve been more surprised to hear that Civil War didn’t set up Ragnarok in some way, and Alexander confirmed it, saying about Marvel’s ability to interweave their plots—or, in some cases, send characters on random vision quests that seem like commercials for other movies, but anyway—”Yeah, there’s a lot of great stuff they’ve peppered in through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers, Captain [America: Civil War] will have some stuff. There’s just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you’re really paying attention.”

She also mentioned that her character, Sif, will play a large role (or at least an important one) in Ragnarok, saying that Marvel doesn’t let her in on a lot of plot details for secrecy purposes, but, “I do know I will be in “Thor 3″ and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can’t tell you what because I’ll get shot.”

Pfff. Like Sif cares about getting shot. You know what? As long as this “pivotal role” doesn’t involve taking a breather from the main plot to splash around in an Asgardian kiddie pool hang out in a mystical puddle, I’m sure we’re going to love it. Any ideas how Sif’s going to save Thor’s bacon this time around?
