Spend Most Your Lives Living In a Lannista’s Paradise With This Game Of Thrones Parody
They've even got Tyrion's not-a-real-British accent down.
If you tore through the Game of Thrones mixtape last month and still can’t get enough fresh Westerosi beats to satisfy your cravings, then you’ll be happy to know that the Sons of Mim are putting out a Weird Al-style parody album tomorrow called Shame of Tones — including one very special version of Coolio’s classic track as done by Tyrion Lannister.
The full album drops tomorrow, we think — it’s still the first of April so we’re pretty unwilling to cop to anything actually taking place then — and, according to the Huffington Post, will also feature songs called “Arya Gonna Make Em Pay” and “Total Eclipse of House Stark.” It the latter doesn’t include the lines “Every now and them I am a warg” or “THE WINTER’S GONNA COME TONIGHT,” we’re going to be very disappointed.
On a related note, I still have a hard time hearing the actual “Gangsta’s Paradise” because by the time I realized it was an actual song when I was growing up, I had already memorized Weird Al’s “Amish Paradise” instead. Let’s hope at least one precocious kid who doesn’t know his rap history makes the same mistake I did with the Sons of Mim version, which will presumably be available at their Tumblr page tomorrow. Unless they’re all messing with us, of course. They better not be messing with us.
