At a loss for what to get the CERN scientist in your life? The Science Museum Shop has got you covered with the Large Hadron Collider umbrella. As a bonus, it also doubles as shelter in the event that the LHC decides to send apocalyptic hellfire down on us all.
The umbrella depicts, as the Science Museum puts it, “the largest scientific experiment ever constructed.” It’s made of 100% polyester, comes with a sturdy polymer grip, and is allegedly windproof, although I’ll believe that breakthrough when I see it. We might have discovered new forms of matter, but a truly tough umbrella is still beyond modern science’s means.
