The Family That Karaokes Les Mis Together Stays Together (Now, How Can I Get Them to Adopt Me?)
Artistic ability often runs in the family. However, it’s rare that you see several family members displaying the same awesome level of proficiency doing the same thing. Yet here they are—the LeBaron family from Fruit Heights, Utah—performing “One Day More” from Les Misérables as karaoke in their living room, and totally ready to take to the stage.
The LeBarons got together on Easter Sunday to do some karaoke, and topped it all off with this ridiculously competent fully-cast performance of “One Day More” that puts all of us to shame. Like, even the “weakest” singers of the bunch are better than all of us. NBD.
WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?! HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN REAL? HOW ARE THEY ALL RELATED? WHAT MAD SCIENTIST MADE A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL TO CREATE THIS BROADWAY DREAM FAMILY?
According to Jayson LeBaron, who spoke with Today, it’s not that intense. “We’ve all grown up singing together and we all married musically talented people. We all got involved with musical theater and did a lot of shows in high school and college. Music has been a unifying thing in our family.” I’d imagine that these folks would have to marry musically talented people, because otherwise their spouses would not be able to hang.
Um, and can we talk about the talent that those babies in this video must have inside them ready to burst out the second they start talking???
Jordon LeBaron, who sings the role of Marius here, posted this video to Facebook saying:
