Legends of Tomorrow Gets an Extended Episode Order

Recommended Videos

Legends of Tomorrow is already off to a successful start on its second season, and apparently it’s doing even better than the CW originally anticipated.

When Legends was first picked up for season two, the network ordered 13 episodes–three episodes down from the first season, which consisted of 16. However, Deadline has confirmed that the CW has now not only bumped the episode count back up again, but tacked on one more for good measure, bringing the updated total of Legends‘ season two episodes up to 17.

Overall, the show is one of the more sturdy performers for the network alongside the others in its universe, Arrow and The Flash, both of which have a 22-episode order for their new seasons. Legends is also doing better in its new Thursday night timeslot than the previous occupant, The Vampire Diaries.

As a fan who has been watching Legends of Tomorrow since the first episode that brought the team together, I’m really glad we get to see more of these characters. Overall, the second season has been much better than the first, and it’s great that the CW is giving us more to watch and enjoy.
