Limbo Free on Steam, Sonic Games Cheap on Humble Bundle Right Now
The prices are ... a little bit lower now.
Sonic the Hedgehog was released 25 years ago tomorrow (June 23), and to celebrate, SEGA’s got a huge package of Sonic games on Humble Bundle including old classics and newer titles. The deal only launched recently, so the price to get the most games for your buck is still pretty low, and you get to give to charity! Go fast!
Anyone who pays more than $1 will get the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure DX, and Sonic 3D Blast on Steam, and anyone who beats the average price will get even more. What’s more, right now, the average is hovering just under $10, and anything over $10 will unlock four more games, including Sonic Generations, which is currently $29.99 on Steam. That game alone is more than worth the $10 asking price, and you’ll also get Sonic Lost World, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic Adventure Battle 2, Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing (and Transformed), and … both episodes of Sonic 4, if you’re into that.
Head over to Humble Bundle if you’re interested, but remember that these games are only available for PC, so anyone with Mac or Linux is missing out unless they can also boot Windows. They’ll download through Steam once you get your download codes, so you should also have that set up to claim your games.
Speaking of Steam, that’s also where you’ll find stylish puzzle-platformer Limbo 100% free today. The giveaway of indie developer Playdead’s first game will only last until 10AM PT (1PM ET) today in celebration of their upcoming title, Inside, which is set to launch on June 29. Limbo was met with fairly universal praise, so we’re pretty excited to get our hands on Playdead’s followup, but whether you missed Limbo before or just want to replay it, the value on Steam is hard to beat. As long as you install it before the giveaway period ends, the game will be a permanent part of your Steam Library. (It works on both PC and Mac.)
