Hamilton Composer Lin-Manuel Miranda Writing Music for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Disney’s Moana

Lin-Manuel Miranda has skyrocketed into the hearts of fans across genres this past year, what with his smash hit musical Hamilton (with a Grammy-nominated sountrack), plus the Cantina theme he composed for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and this update from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson saying that Miranda will lend his composition talents to Disney’s Moana. YESss. The Rock plays demigod Maui in the movie, and he’ll “sing and rap” — and, as his hashtag proclaims, he has the “spit skills” to perform whatever rhymes Miranda pens. Miranda sounds confident that the Rock can pull it off:

Speaking of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s rapidly rising star, the Grammy’s just announced that Hamilton cast will perform their show’s opening number during the awards. As stated, Hamilton has been nominated for the Best Musical Theatre Album award.

So do we have to watch the entire Grammy’s, just for the chance to make more Hamilton gifs? Oh, all right, then!
