Yes, I know it’s “just” an audio play, but I don’t care. My ear-holes are going to be so goddamn happy.

According to an MTV exclusive, writer Joe Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez’s award-winning fantasy comic trilogy Locke & Key is being made into an audio play for the Amazon-owned Audible Studios.

The series has been rumored in the past for both a TV adaptation and a movie trilogy, but Audible’s production will be the first sure thing Locke & Key fans have had to look forward to in some time.

The audio play will be free from October 5 to November 4 before becoming available for purchase in the Audible Store, and will feature a cast of 50 actors with strong ties to geekdom. In addition to narration by Maslany and Haley Joel Osment, the cast will also include Hill, Hill’s father Stephen King, and Kate Mulgrew. Holy cow holy cow holy cow.

You can preorder a copy here and pick up a signed, limited-edition poster at IDW’s SDCC booth (#2743) on Thursday from 12-1.
