Designs for Abandoned Mad Max: Fury Road Furiosa Anime Are Shiny, Chrome

The Furiosa comic might be colossally disappointing, but it’s just a small chapter in the long history of projects and spin-offs designed to honor the Imperator of our hearts.

As this Japanese TV report reveals, George Miller was working on a since-abandoned Mad Max anime project with Mahiro Maeda  in 2009; as the director explained to CinemaBlend recently, “we did write backstories – so we were going to do an anime based on the Furiosa character.”

Raise your steering wheel if you think you could use a Furiosa-centric Fury Road prequel anime in your life.

I thought so.
