We’ve already covered how Mark Hamill, my favorite Internet uncle, is a voice actor of great genius and renown. What happens when he teams up with the masterminds over at Bad Lip Readings to take on The Force Awakens? Week-making magic, y’all.
Bad Lip Reading’s videos are an endless source of joy that can leave you scratching your head at why their off-beat humor works so well (but, like, happily scratching your head). This time they managed to do what Snoke could not and track down Luke Skywalker himself for voice overlay help. Watch—and listen—in awe as Mark Hamill delivers a spectacular impression of Harrison Ford’s gravelly Han Solo.
This also features a Chewbacca pick-up scene, Kylo Ren being the sad creeper we know he is at heart, Admiral Ackbar as you’ve never heard him before, and the FINGER PUPPET SCENE.
I’m laughcrying at my desk as we speak. The standout in all of this hilarity is, obviously, Hamill, who sounds so much like his Star Wars co-star that I would pay a lot of money to see a live recording of this, or maybe a one-man show with Mark Hamill as Harrison Ford as Han Solo. I’d go every night.
The video was published today and already has more than 500,000 hits. That’s a whole lot of weeks that just got made. Now, I challenge you to watch their Empire Strikes Back reading, SEAGULLS! (Stop It Now) and then try to think about anything else for the rest of your life.
